Sophie "Sue" Moore

Sophie "Sue" Moore, 89, of St. Joseph's Court died Saturday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in Adams on Sept. 24, 1914, daughter of Stanislaus and Mary Koszelnik Paradysz, she was educated in Adams schools. Mrs. Moore was employed with the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates in Adams. She also had worked at GE in Pittsfield from 1939 to 1941. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. Her husband, former North Adams Police Sgt. Thomas B. Moore, whom she married May 6, 1939, died July 10, 1998. She leaves a daughter, Colleen A. Spink of Longmeadow; a son, Thomas J. Moore of North Adams; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Family and friends of Sophie "Sue" Moore, who died Sept. 11, 2004, will join in prayer and funeral services at a time and date to be noticed at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Francis' Church, North Adams, and graveside committal services at the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis' Parish Renovation Fund through the funeral home. Her greatest pleasure was derived from her loving family, relatives and friends. Survivors include a son-in-law, Dr. Douglas Spink of Longmeadow. She will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Douglas Spink III and his wife, Marcy, and their two children, Douglas and Jennifer, of Needham; Bradley Spink and his wife, Patty, and their daughter, Olivia, of Westwood; Dr. Michael Spink of New York City; Robin Moore of North Adams; Julie Demarsico and her daughters, Tiffany and Kayla, of Great Falls, Mo.; and Thomas Moore of South Kent, Wash. She was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers, Veronica Riel, Helen Lankin, Della Conway, Casimer Paradysz, Frank Paradysz and Ernest Paradysz.
