Emily V. "Millie" Janik

Emily V. "Millie" Janik, 82, of 72 East Road died Tuesday evening at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on Jan. 10, 1922, daughter of Frank and Mary Dziok Janik, she attended schools there. Miss Janik was employed as a housekeeper for several local families. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates and at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. She leaves two nieces, Katherine Moran and Josephine Oparowski, and two nephews, John Oparowski and Stanley Wojcik, all of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Emily Janik, who died Sept. 14, 2004, will be Saturday at 11:30 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka School through the funeral home. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Wojcik, Gladys Oparowski, and Jane Janik.
