Eileen J. Shea, 74, of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Fla. Born in Morgantown, W.Va., on Jan. 17, 1927, daughter of Walter and Helen Schwartzer LaPalm, she graduated from Drury High School in North Adams. She moved to Florida in 1978 from Pittsfield. Mrs. Shea was employed by Williams College as an executive secretary in the mathematics department. She was a member of the Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, the Spanish Wells Country Club in Bonita Springs and the Bonita Springs Elk Lodge. Her first husband, Bertrand Sprague, is deceased. She leaves her husband, John F. Shea, a former Berkshire County commissioner; a daughter, Lisa H. Sprague of Naples, Fla.; a stepson, Robert Shea of Orlando, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Jean Budrow of Stoneham and Dr. Ann Demick of Cohasset; a brother, Robert Bussey of Lake Placid, Fla., and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, April 28, 2001, at 1:30 at WALTER SHIKANY'S BONITA FUNERAL HOME, Bonita Springs, Fla.
