David Emil Baxter, 54, of 212A Sandisfield Road died Friday at home. He was born in Guilford, Conn., on Sept. 26, 1946, the son of Ivas Brown Baxter and the late Emil S. Baxter. Mr. Baxter was employed by Asphalt Tree Co. as a tree surgeon. He was born in Guilford, Conn., on Sept. 26, 1946, the son of Ivas Brown Baxter and the late Emil S. Baxter. Mr. Baxter was employed by Asphalt Tree Co. as a tree surgeon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles. Besides his mother, of Essex, Conn., he leaves three sons, David Baxter Jr. of Chester, Conn., Josh Baxter of Sandisfield and Kevin Schibi of New Britain, Conn.; four daughters, Cindy Kieterling of Tolland, Bobby Jo Ratigan and Billie Jo Baxter, both of Sandisfield, and Brenda Crispin of Torrington, Conn.; two brothers, Emil "Pete" S. Baxter Jr. of Westbrook, Conn., and Mark S. Baxter of Wallingford, Conn.; two sisters, Phyllis F. Johnston of Hanover, Conn., and Kathleen "Kibby" Clement of Hamden, Conn., and nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 5, at Congregational Church in Sandisfield at 10. The family would like those who would like to come forward and speak at the service to please do so. Burial will immediately follow. There will be no calling hours. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, 99 Wheeler St., Winsted, Conn., is in charge of arrangements.
