Margaret Elliott

Margaret Elliott, 74, formerly of North Adams, died Saturday at Farren Care Center in Turners Falls. Born in North Adams on July 1, 1930, daughter of John and Margaret Ford Fenton, she was a 1947 honors graduate of Drury High School. Mrs. Elliott was employed by the former James Hunter Machine Co., until leaving because of poor health. She also had been an executive secretary at the former Sprague Electric Co. for several years. She was a member of First Congregational Church and a former member of its choir. She leaves a daughter, Margaret Newlands of Waynesville, Mo., and a brother, David Fenton of Williamstown. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Private funeral services for Margaret Elliott, who died Oct. 16, 2004, will be conducted at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, by the Rev. Jill Graham, pastor of First Congregational Church of North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
