Irene E. Biagiotti Goodwin

Irene E. Biagiotti Goodwin, 89, died Sunday afternoon at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided for five years. Born in East Clarendon, Vt., on Nov. 23, 1914, daughter of William L. and Lottie A. Brown Manning, she was educated there. She moved to Keene, N.H., in 1953, to West Swanzey in 1984 and to Pittsfield in 1987. Mrs. Goodwin had worked as a housekeeper in private homes in the Keene area. Her first husband, John R. Biagiotti, died in 1950. Her second husband, Eno B. Goodwin, is deceased. She leaves four grandsons, including John R. Biagiotti Sr. of Pittsfield, with whom she had resided before entering the nursing home. She was predeceased by two sons, Robert J. Biagiotti several years ago and William S. Biagiotti in 1961. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Irene Biagiotti Goodwin, who died Nov. 7, 2004, will be conducted Friday at 1:30 in East Clarendon (Vt.) Cemetery, Airport Road, by the Rev. Bruce Bishop. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 6 to 8 at FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 49 Court St., Keene, NH 03431. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to a local hospice agency. She leaves three other grandsons, Timothy, Michael and Arthur Biagiotti, all of Massachusetts; three great-grandsons, Victor J. and John R. Biagiotti Jr., both of Pittsfield, and Benjamin Biagiotti of Florida, and her granddaughter-in-law, Linda of Pittsfield.
