Teresa C. Dalone

Teresa C. Dalone, 95, formerly of 19 Lombard St., died yesterday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since 1997. Born in Postalesio, province of Sondrio, Italy, on Jan. 7, 1909, daughter of Giovanni and Antoinetta Bianchi Sondrini, she attended schools there and emigrated to the United States in 1928, settling in the Farnams section of Cheshire. She moved to Pittsfield in 1946. Mrs. Dalone was employed by GE, retiring from the ordnance department in 1970. She was a communicant of All Souls' Church and active with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for 30 years, receiving several awards for her work. She was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs and enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and cooking. Her husband, Peter Dalone, whom she married Feb. 28, 1928, died Sept. 10, 1977. She leaves two sons, William L. Dalone of Dalton and John J. Dalone of Pittsfield; a stepdaughter, Lillian Donati of Sharon, Conn.; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Teresa C. Dalone will be Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at All Souls' Church, 51 Pembroke Ave., by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Nov. 23, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Survivors include four grandchildren, John P. Dalone, Judy A. Raicik, Gary W. Dalone and Deborah A. Breheney; five great-grandchildren, Jared Dalone, Jillian Richardson, Nicole Raicik, Timothy Breheney and Kelley Breheney, and two daughters-in-law, Shirley A. Dalone and JoAnn C. Dalone. She was predeceased by two brothers, Peter J. Sondrini and Azzo Sondrini, and by three sisters, Natalina Moresi, Serafina Montana and Rosina Delmolino. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Souls' Church in care of the funeral home.
