Geraldine Gillooly, 87, formerly of 245 High St., died Friday at Craneville Place, where she had resided since September 2002. Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 17, 1917, the daughter of Eugene and Alice Converse, she attended schools in Dalton. Mrs. Gillooly was employed as an office worker at Crane & Co., A.H. Rice, Sears and the former England's department store. She enjoyed game shows, playing bingo and camping. Her husband, Edward T. Gillooly, whom she married June 19, 1937, died March 6, 1998. She leaves two sons, David Gillooly of Dalton and James Gillooly of Meriden, Conn.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Geraldine Gillooly will be conducted Wednesday at 10 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Robert R. Kyte, pastor of Dalton Congregational Church. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Dalton Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
