Blanche C. Bednarz

Blanche C. Bednarz, 93, formerly of 3 Myrtle St., died early Friday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on Oct. 9, 1911, daughter of Adam and Josephine Miesiaszek Lipinski, she attended schools there. Mrs. Bednarz had been employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for more than 20 years, retiring in 1971. She also had worked as a spinner at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates for 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a longtime member of its Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the former TMTM Club. Her husband, Stanley V. Bednarz, whom she married Oct. 12, 1940, died Jan. 16, 1964. She leaves two sons, Thomas B. Bednarz of Cheshire and Stanley Bednarz of Adams; a daughter, Virginia Ravizza of Amherst, Va., eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Blanche C. Bednarz, who died Dec. 24, 2004, will take place Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 9 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' School through the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Zigmund Lipinski.
