Russell L. Dionne, 87, of 6 Simon Ave. died Sunday at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on May 12, 1917, son of Joseph and Josephine MacDougall Dionne, he attended Adams schools. Mr. Dionne was employed for many years at the former Adams Super Market and was manager for several years of its Williams Street market in Pittsfield. He retired 25 years ago. Earlier, he was proprietor of a grocery store on North Summer Street for several years. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. His wife, the former Olympia C. Pasternak, whom he married Sept. 16, 1939, died Oct. 27, 1995. He leaves a sister, Roma Mirke of Williamstown. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Russell L. Dionne, who died Dec. 26, 2004, will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 30, at 12:30 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 1 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30 at the funeral home. The youngest of 10 children, he was predeceased by four brothers, Arthur, Aldor, Victor and Gerald Dionne, and by four sisters, Dora Lamm, Delia Rolland, Hazel Meaney and Blanche Zwiercan.
