Walter D. Fuller

Walter D. Fuller, 63, of 250 Wells Road died yesterday morning at home. Born in Pittsfield on July 6, 1941, he was raised in Canaan, N.Y., by his foster parents, Arthur and Edith Finney. He moved to Lee in 1982 and to Becket in 1983. Mr. Fuller had been employed by Mead Paper Co. in South Lee from 1967 until retiring in 1995. He enjoyed camping, deep-sea fishing, canning, and woodworking. He and his wife, the former Beth A. Pease, were married Oct. 15, 1983. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael McCaul of the town of Washington and Daniel Andrews of Becket; four daughters, Kimberly Dean and Susan Beckwith, both of Becket, Sharon Ledoux of Lee and Stacie Faille of Pittsfield; 16 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Walter D. Fuller, who died Jan. 12, 2005, will be conducted Friday at 11 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee by the Rev. Charles F. Young, hospice chaplain. Burial will be in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery in Middlefield. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. He leaves his devoted dog of 10 years, Jenny. He also leaves five children from a previous marriage who all reside in Maine, and several foster brothers and sisters.
