Andrea C. Gillooly, 52, of 287 River St. died Tuesday at North Adams Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Bennington, Vt., on May 30, 1952, daughter of Edward Gaudette and Eva Frentzel Gaudette-Bunting, she attended schools in North Adams, including the former St. Joseph's School. She was a 1970 graduate of Drury High School. She also attended Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield. Mrs. Gillooly was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. She spent most of her life as an active advocate for the disabled, making all services and building accessible to the disabled. She enjoyed animals. She leaves three daughters, Sarah T. Gillooly of Pittsfield, Susan E. Gillooly of Auburn and Melanie A. Licht of Clarksburg; three brothers, Frank Gaudette of Bennington, Clifford Gaudette of Pownal, Vt., and Michael Gaudette of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her stepfather, Gerald Bunting of North Adams, and a granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Andrea C. Gaudette Gillooly will take place Monday at 8:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will take place at a later date in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 4 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the family or to the National Spinal Cord Injury Association through the funeral home. Survivors include a granddaughter, Lyza Licht, and two sons-in-law, Brian C. Licht and Timothy J. McNeil Jr. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry E. Gaudette on July 17, 2003. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. Her true love was spending time with her family and friends.
