Ruth A. Denton

Ruth A. Denton, 82, of Rosewood Gardens, Troy, N.Y., formerly of Pittsfield, died Tuesday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Pittsfield on March 12, 1919, daughter of Valentine and Emma Kaspar Frambach, she graduated from Pittsfield High School and moved to New Lebanon in 1939. She later moved to Troy. A homemaker, she was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Pittsfield. Her husband, William E. Denton, whom she married Sept. 1, 1937, in Pittsfield, died in 1978. She leaves three daughters, Joan Elaine Bielawa of Redondo Beach, Calif., Phyllis Anne Kattwinkel of Charlottesville, Va., and Lois Ellen Blanchard of Grafton, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
