Dorothy Mae Poulton

Dorothy Mae Poulton, 83, of 19 Balance Rock Road died Sunday evening at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Boston on Nov. 3, 1921, daughter of Joseph and Jennie Benway Durwin, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Poulton was a homemaker. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church. An avid bowler, she also enjoyed reading and crocheting. She and her husband, Lionel M. Poulton, would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on Feb. 10. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, David Poulton of North Adams, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Dorothy Mae Poulton, who died Sunday, Jan. 30, leaves her three grandchildren, Erica Ahnrud, Leeann Ahnrud and Bonnie Ahnrud, all of Peru, as well as her very good friend, Patricia Ahnrud Davenport of Peru, and her sister-in-law, Veronica Durwin of Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Friday, Feb. 4, at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hinsdale Lions Club in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements.
