Emma K. Morris, 83, of 38 Greenbrook Drive, Brainard, died Sunday at the Laurel Lake Center of Health and Rehabilitation in Lee. She was the mother of Preston Morris of Lenox. Born in Nutley, N.J., on Oct. 7, 1921, daughter of Emil and Ella Knust she was a 1939 graduate of Nutley High School. Mrs. Morris had been employed by the Bell Telephone Co. in Albany, N.Y., as a representative, retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in North Chatham, N.Y. She was also a member of the Birthday Girls. Her husband, Ronald Morris, is deceased. Besides her son, she leaves two other sons, Glenn Morris of Ridders Mills, N.Y., and Ronald Morris of Glens Falls, N.Y., and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Calling hours for Emma Morris will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 at the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. A short prayer service will follow at 4. Cremation will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Tri-Village Fire Company in Chatham in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
