Margaret "Peg" Moreau

Margaret "Peg" Moreau, 81, of Holy Family Terrace died yesterday at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Born in North Adams on March 5, 1924, daughter of Fredelin and Helena Tessier Bombardier, she attended local schools, including the former Notre Dame School. Mrs. Moreau had been employed for more than 50 years by the former Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick's and Raphael's Parish in Williamstown and a member of the Sprague Electric Quarter Century Club. Her husband, Edward Lawrence "Shoux" Moreau Sr., whom she married Feb. 20, 1943, in Notre Dame Church, died March 30, 2001. She leaves a daughter, Anne Mulcahy of Newport Beach, Calif.; three sons, Edward L. Moreau Jr. of Coral Springs, Fla., and John P. Moreau and Dennis L. Moreau, both of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Eugene Bombardier of the state of North Carolina, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Christine Moreau, died in April 1953. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Margaret "Peg" Bombardier Moreau will take place Friday at 9:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Jude's Children's Hospital through the funeral home. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Moreau, and a sister, Rita Giusti.
