Charles L. Vigeant

Charles L. Vigeant, 84, of 30 Fourth St. died Monday at home. Born in Adams on Feb. 5, 1917, son of Delphis and Georgiana Molleur Vigeant, he graduated from the former Adams High School. Mr. Vigeant was employed as an assembler in the power transformer department of General Electric Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1979. He was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners clubs. His wife, the former Virginia Wojnicki, died in 1992. He leaves two granddaughters. He was predeceased by two sons, Francis L. Vigeant, who died in 1995, and Charles Vigeant, who died in 1999. Funeral services will be held Friday. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, North State Road, Cheshire, MA 01225.
