Marie Volff, 66, of 4 Columbia St. died Monday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Nov. 15, 1938, daughter of Archibald and Hazel O'Dell Brown, she attended Adams schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Volff was employed for several years at Goodwill Industries. She enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. She was formerly married to Charles Volff. She leaves four sons, Brent Volff, Kevin Volff and Alan Volff, all of Adams, and Brian Volff of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Robert Brown of Connecticut and Edward Brown Sr. of Adams; a sister, Violet Brown of North Adams, and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Marie Volff, who died March 14, 2005, will be conducted Saturday, March 19, at 11 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, by the Rev. Lawrence Wilson, pastor of Jesus Saves Tabernacle Church in North Adams. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 9 until the time of the service. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Breast Cancer Society through the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Brown, and two sisters, Mae Robert and Dorothy Clairmont.
