Margaret Theresa "Peggi" Schneider

Margaret Theresa "Peggi" Schneider, 56, of 193 Church St. died Saturday afternoon at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted March 20. Born in Adams on Dec. 8, 1948, daughter of William Charles Schneider Sr. and Theresa Fairweather Schneider, she was a 1966 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. She attended North Adams State College, now Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and completed the licensed practical nursing program at C. H. McCann Technical School. Ms. Schneider was employed by the former Adams Nursing Home in Williamstown and later by NARH. She also worked as a waitress at local restaurants and was last employed at the Freightyard Pub. She was a member of First Congregational Church and enjoyed music and cats. She leaves a daughter, Carrie A. Bishop of the town of Florida; a son, Christopher A. McDonald of Adams; two sisters, Janice Derby of Hancock and Sharon Wright of Adams; two brothers, Steven P. Schneider of Coventry, Conn., and Edward Schneider of Yorktown, Va., and eight grandchildren. She also leaves her former husband, Alan McDonald of Clarksburg. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Peggi Schneider, who died March 26, 2005, will be conducted tomorrow, March 29, at 10 at First Congregational Church in North Adams by the Rev. Jill Graham. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., will be today from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Youth Group or the Piano Fund at First Congregational Church, both in care of the funeral home. Survivors include eight grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending time, Sean Bishop Jr., Zachary, Sara and Brady Bishop, Xavier, Jordan, Braxton and Drake McDonald, and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, William E. Schneider and William C. Schneider Jr., died in 1964 and 1999, respectively.
