Florence I. Lapin

Florence I. Lapin, 94, of Main Street died Monday at her daughter's home in Lee. Born in New York City on Sept. 4, 1906, daughter of Louis and Esther Tucker Eisenberg, she was educated in schools there. She was self-employed in New York City before moving to Stockbridge two years ago. Mrs. Lapin was a member and past officer of the True Sisters Society, a charitable organization, for many years. She was also a member of Hadassah and past president/member of the New York Philanthropic Society. Her husband, Carl Lapin, whom she married in 1924, is deceased. Besides her daughter, Charlotte R. Isaacs of Lee, with whom she made her home, she leaves a son, Earl M. Lapin of Potomac, Md; a sister, Dorothy Bernard of New York City; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Stockbridge Cemetery with Rabbi Sigma Coran officiating. The DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME is handling the services. The family will receive friends at Charlotte Isaac's home, 75 Debra Ave., Lee, after the burial.
