Anita Lucille Dupuis

Anita Lucille Dupuis, 86, of 75 North St. died yesterday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in Adams on July 1, 1918, daughter of Joseph and Matilda Pinsonnault Fortin, she attended schools there. Mrs. Dupuis was the cafeteria manager of Drury High School in the 1960s and 1970s. She later was employed for two years in the cafeteria at the former Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. Her husband, Leo W. Dupuis, whom she married Sept. 5, 1936, in Notre Dame Church in Adams, died Jan. 8, 1982. She leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Keating of Everett, Wash.; a son, John F. Dupuis of Windsor, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Another daughter, Theresa A. Sorel, died Sept. 3, 2003, and another son, Bernard L. Dupuis, died Aug. 5, 1961. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Anita Lucille Fortin Dupuis will take place Saturday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Our Lady of Mercy Church on State Road. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home. Survivors also include a son-in-law, Peter Keating, and a daughter-in-law, Janice Dupuis. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Ouellette, and three brothers, Wallace, Leonard and Francis Fortin. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
