Leigh H. Weber

Leigh Hanlon Weber, 70, of Severna Park, Md., formerly of Sheffield, died May 12 at home. Born in Norwalk, Conn., she attended schools in Connecticut and New York. Mrs. Weber was employed on the editorial staff of Life magazine in New York and then for Time magazine. She was a life master in contract bridge. She married Max C. Weber, a pilot for Pan American World Airways, in 1953, and had resided in London, Hong Kong and Miami. After his retirement in 1958, they moved to Annapolis, Md. Mr. Weber died in 1991. She leaves two daughters, Michele Cozart of Greeley, Colo., and Lisa Martelle Weber of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a stepdaughter, Jill Weber Svahn of Chester, Md.; two sisters, Claire Brown of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Sheila H. Kenny of Naples, Fl.; a brother, John Jay Hanlon of Naples, Fla., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be later this summer in the family lot at Mahaiwe Cemetery, Great Barrington. Donations may be made to the Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Suite 515, Woodholm Medical Building, 1838 Green Tree Road, Baltimore, MD 21208, or Hospice Care in the Berkshires, 369 South St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of local arrangements.
