Everett Emprimo

Everett W. Emprimo, 82, of 5 Home Place, Winsted, Conn., formerly of Great Barrington, died yesterday at home. Born in New Marlboro on May 21, 1919, son of Frank and Mary Finkle Emprimo, he attended schools there. He lived in Housatonic and Great Barrington for many years before moving to Winsted in 1986. Mr. Emprimo was employed as a truck driver for the former B & P Trucking and Old Colony Trucking, both in Lee. He was a contract mail carrier for the New Marlborough Stage from the Great Barrington post office from 1958 to 1967. He was also a truck driver for Watercrete Co. in Canaan, Conn. His former wife, Martha Stupplebeen, died May 24, 1970. He leaves a son, David W. Emprimo of Sheffield; four daughters, Laurie Paul and Linda Biernacki, both of Sheffield, Donna Stalker of New Marlboro and Holly Height of Great Barrington; a stepdaughter, Mary L. Percy of Pinelles Park, Fla.; a sister, Cecelia Leichner of Winsted; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 30, from 6 to 8 at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Graveside services will be Thursday, May 31, at 11:30 in Sheffield Center Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Little Guild of St. Francis or The Last Post in Canaan, Conn., in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
