Roger Ernest Rose

Roger Ernest Rose, 59, of 569 Union St., owner of Roger's Auto Sales, died Wednesday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was admitted May 5 after a brief illness. Born in North Adams on Oct. 19, 1945, son of Ernest and Claire Miner Rose, he was a graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School. Following graduation, he served in the Massachusetts National Guard. Mr. Rose was a self-employed salesman. He was a lifelong communicant of Notre Dame Church and enjoyed outdoor recreation. He leaves a son, Ernest J. Rose of Minot, N.D.; a sister, Jeannette Baribeault of North Adams, and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Roger Rose will take place Monday, May 16, 2005, at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 15, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the Rose Grandchildren Education Fund through the funeral home. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Nikki Benoit; grandchildren, Ashley Diane Rose and Jamis Roger Rose; brother-in-law, Donald Baribeault, and nieces and nephews.
