Susan Lee Gerard, 46, died at her home at 4 Meadow St. Born in Pittsfield, Dec. 26, 1958, daughter of Sheldon Allen of Lee and the late Sophie Budzianowski Allen, she attended Lee schools and graduated from Lee High School. She then graduated from Southern Berkshire Educational Collaborative School of Practical Nursing in 1984 as a licensed practical nurse. She worked at the former Vesper Hills, now called the Berkshire Meadows in Great Barrington, as an aide, and later as a licensed practical nurse. She also worked as a licensed practical nurse at Colburn School in New Marlborough, and the former Olston Services, now called the Gentiva Services, in Pittsfield as a private duty nurse. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Lee. She and her husband, Barry Gerard of Housatonic, were married Sept. 7, 1991. Besides her father and husband, she leaves a son, Jared Gerard of Housatonic; two brothers, Gary Allen of Pittsfield and Philip Allen of Lucyville, Pa., and two sisters, Sharon Allen and Gail Tyer both of Lee. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Susan Lee Gerard who died Saturday, June 18, 2005, will be on Thursday, June 23, at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make donations to the Lions Orthopedic Clinic in Springfield in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Susan also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
