Raymond F. Quenneville

Raymond F. Quenneville, 84, of 301 Canaan Road, Ashley Falls, died Friday at home. Born in Canada on Sept. 25, 1920, son of Nelson and Albina Noel Quenneville, his family moved to Orwell, Vt., when he was a child, and he attended schools there. He moved to Ashley Falls in 1960. Mr. Quenneville was employed as a truck driver for C.A. Lindel Lumber Co. in Canaan, Conn., retiring in 1992 with 22 years of service. Before that, he worked in farming with Hollow Brook Farms in the Canaan Valley for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Red Sox fan. He and his wife, the former Lorette Gibeault, would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary Sept. 29. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael Quenneville of Ashley Falls; a sister, Annette McCoy of Vergens, Vt.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Service for Raymond Quenneville, who died Friday, July 8, 2005, will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, is in charge of arrangements. He and his wife were childhood friends from the age of 5.
