Maefred Elizabeth Wilson

Maefred Elizabeth Wilson, 87, of 67 Meadow Lane died Wednesday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since October. Born in Windsor, Vt., on Dec. 19, 1917, daughter of Harley and Flora Belle Savage Giles, she was a graduate of Windsor High School. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Wilson was employed at one time as a waitress at the Highland Restaurant and at the former Rosa Restaurant. She was a member of the Senior Center and enjoyed needlework, knitting and crocheting. Her husband, George R. Wilson, whom she married Nov. 29, 1936, in Windsor, Vt., died April 11, 2000. She leaves two sons, Michael Wilson and Jeffrey Wilson, both of Lanesborough; four daughters, Judith LaBrie and Sandra McBee, both of Lanesborough, Linda Fairbank of Worcester, Vt., and Terry McInerny of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Raelene Brigham of East Hartford, Conn.; 22 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Maefred Elizabeth Wilson, who died Wednesday, July 6, will be conducted Wednesday, July 13, at 1 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. William D. Furey, pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St.
