Paul Edward Foley

Paul Edward Foley, 39, died Tuesday at home, following a short illness. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 26, 1965, son of Alfred J. Foley of Lanesborough and Celina F. Tierney Foley of Pittsfield, he was a 1983 graduate of Taconic High School. He also graduated from the GE Machinist Program in 1986. A tradesman machinist, Mr. Foley was last employed by the Morrison Machine Shop in North Adams. He also worked at McKenzie Plastics, then GE, and Beloit-Jones. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an archery marksman and was a member of the Berkshire Bowmen at one time. Besides his mother and father, he leaves a son, Jesse Marusarz Foley of Pittsfield; a brother, Chad Foley of Lanesborough; a sister, Michelle Goodwin of Chester; his maternal grandmother, Hilda M. Tierney of Pittsfield; his paternal grandmother, Harriet M. Foley of Pittsfield, and his stepmother, Eileen Foley of Lanesborough. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Paul Edward Foley, who died Tuesday, Aug. 16, will be Saturday, Aug. 20, at 8:15 from the DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee with the Rev. Anthony F. Cullen of St. Mary the Mother Church in Lee, officiating. Calling hours will be today, Friday, from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made (payable to Celina F. Tierney) to establish a fund for Jesse Foley's future in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. He also leaves several cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael J. Foley, who died Dec. 18, 1991. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his son, Jesse.
