Matthew Thomas Heller Zappone

Matthew Thomas Heller Zappone, 20, of 139 Barbour St. died Saturday morning in an automobile accident on Route 7, Lanesborough, while driving to work. Born in North Adams on March 23, 1985, son of Thomas N. Heller and Brenda T. Zappone, he was a 2003 graduate of McCann Technical High School. Mr. Zappone was employed by Carr Hardware & Supply Co. in Pittsfield. Before that, he was employed by the North Adams Transcript as a newspaper carrier and by Burger King and La Veranda restaurants, and did summer work for the city of North Adams. He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, dirt bike riding and fishing Besides his parents, with whom he resided, he leaves his maternal grandmother, Arlene Raina Zappone of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Matthew T. Heller Zappone will be Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at 10 at Flynn & Dagnoli-MontagNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 64 Marshall St., North Adams, celebrated by the Rev. C.J. Waitekus, pastor of the Catholic Churches of North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are suggested for the St. Anthony Capital Campaign Fund, the Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) Fund, the Diabetes Association or the Renal Dialysis Unit of Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, through the funeral home. He also leaves many loving friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.
