Robert Edward Kiwacz

Robert Edward Kiwacz, 63, of 54 Chase Ave. died Thursday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Oct. 22, 1941, son of Edward and Helen Frank Kiwacz, he graduated from Jackson High School. He served in the Air Force from Feb. 1, 1960, to Aug. 1, 1963. Mr. Kiwacz was vice president of the computer department at CBS in New York City for several years. He then worked in the computer department for the city of New York. Upon moving to North Adams in 1988, he was employed as an engineer by various companies in the area. He was married to the former Lisa Walsh. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Dawn Steele of Trinity, Fla., and Robin Anne Kiwacz of North Adams; three sons, Michael Kiwacz of Trinity, James Kiwacz of Bradenton, Fla., and Charles Kiwacz of North Adams, with whom he made his home; two brothers, Richard Kiwacz of North Adams and Raymond Kiwacz of the state of New York, and five grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Robert Edward Kiwacz will be on Monday in Southview Cemetery, veterans section, North Adams, with full military honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force at 2. There will be no calling hours.
