Gwendolyn Chapin

Gwendolyn P. Chapin, 72, of Pompano Beach, Fla., a native of Great Barrington, died Sunday at North Broward Medical Center Hospice Unit in Pompano Beach. Born April 7, 1929, daughter of Clayton and Beatrice Fuller Palmer, she attended Katharine Gibbs School in Boston and was a 1947 graduate of the House in the Pines School in Norton. She received her associate degree from Tampa College in 1979. Mrs. Chapin was a registered public accountant in the office of her former husband, Clifford Chapin Jr. She moved to Lenox in 1971 and to Florida in 1975. She leaves two sons, Clifford Chapin III of Griswold, Conn., and Craig R. Davidson of Kissimmee, Fla.; a daughter, Deborah Davidson Fuore of Lenox; two brothers, Wayne B. Palmer of South Egremont and Rodney F. Palmer of Monterey; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. The funeral will be Friday, June 6, at 11 at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 10 to 11. Mrs. Chapin also leaves her grandchildren, Michael and Jessica Fuore, Clifford Chapin IV and Craig Davidson Jr.
