Wilfred G. Brock

Wilfred G. Brock, 81, formerly of Green River Road, died Sunday at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home, where he had resided for three years. Born in Richmond, Quebec, Canada, on Sept. 11, 1919, son of Franklin and Alona Wright Brock, he attended schools there and moved to Barre, Vt., in 1932, with his family. He resided in Sheffield from 1955 to 1962, when he moved to Los Angeles, where he was employed as a supervisor for Amstrong Cork Co. He then lived in Lakeville, Conn., before moving to Alford to live with his daughter, Martha B. Germain, now of Claremont, Fla. His wife, the former Glendeen Lamery, whom he married July 15, 1936, died July 15, 1996. Besides his daughter, he leaves two sons, Reginald L. Brock of Salisbury, Conn., and Gordon D. Brock of Milton-Freewater, Ore.; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be private in Alford Center Cemetery. C. Elsie Dame, minister of United Methodist Church of Great Barrington, Housatonic and Alford, will officiate. There will be no calling hours. HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
