Ralph Oscar DuBuc Jr.

Ralph Oscar DuBuc Jr., 78, of 9109 Valdez Dr., Urbandale, Iowa, a native and longtime resident of Adams, died Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Born in Adams on March 16, 1927, son of Ralph DuBuc Sr. and Margaret Major DuBuc, he attended schools there. He had lived in Urbandale for the past 13 years. Mr. DuBuc was employed as a manufacturer's representative in the newspaper industry until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and also enjoyed woodworking and artistic painting. He leaves his wife, the former Janet L. Haight; three daughters, Suzanne Kreger of Greenfield, Kimberly Anderson of Latham, N.Y., and Leslie Prudhomme of Windsor; two sons, Thomas DuBuc of Ankeny, Iowa, and Timothy DuBuc of Northampton; a sister, Lucille Kenney of Adams; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ralph O. DuBuc Jr. will be Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11 in the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. The Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. He also leaves two sons-in-law, Keith Anderson and Michael Prudhomme; Suzanne's companion, Randolph Ward, and a daughter-in-law, Darcy DuBuc of Ankeny. He was predeceased by a grandson, Scott Makena Kreger, in 1990, and a brother, Leon DuBuc in 1975.
