Anna V. Soldato

Anna V. Soldato, 86, of 35 Williamstown Road died Tuesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 3, 1914, daughter of Christopher and Rose Barkofska Petrousky, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was employed as an assembler at GE for 24 years, retiring in 1985. A volunteer at Berkshire Medical Center, she enjoyed sewing, gardening and her home. Her husband, Paul A. Soldato, died Dec. 22, 1975. She leaves two sons, Paul C. Soldato of Lanesboro and Gordon A. Soldato of Pittsfield; a sister, Eva Krasiewich of Pittsfield; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services for will be Friday at 9:15 from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the Dery Funeral Home will be Thursday from 5 to 8.
