Carol Lillian Goodreau Smith

Carol Lillian Goodreau Smith, 62, of 150 Ashland St. died Friday evening at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on Dec. 25, 1942, daughter of Bernard and Dorothy Blair Belding, she attended local schools, including the former St. Joseph's High School. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis' Church. She leaves four daughters, Chrystal Marion of Saratoga, N.Y., Rhonda Bourtell of Albany, N.Y., Star Eugene of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Kelly Goodreau of North Adams; two sons, William Goodreau Jr. and Shane Goodreau, both of North Adams; 15 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Carol Goodreau Smith will be tomorrow, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247, with the Rev. Mr. Bruce Ziter, deacon of the Catholic Parishes of North Adams, offic-iating. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 5 until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army through the funeral home.
