Born in Greece on Aug. 23, 1982, daughter of Savvas Kasekas of Sheffield and Ellie Gerolimon Camron of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., she moved to the United States in 1986. She graduated from Thomaston High School in Thomaston, Conn. Miss Kasekas was the owner and manager of the Sheffield Market. She loved to write music and sing. Besides her parents, she leaves a fiancé, Jason Benoit of Norfolk, Conn.; maternal grandparents Nick and Nara Gerolimon of Greece; a paternal grandfather, Lucas Kasekas of Greece; and three sisters, Maria Kasekas of Ashley Falls, Rania Benoit of Norfolk and Andrea Labshere of Pleasant Valley. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private funeral service for Despina Kasekas, who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, will be held Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, Pittsfield. There are no calling hours. Friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Sheffield Center Cemetery. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, is in charge of arrangements. She also leaves two nephews, Isaiah Kasekas and Ethan Benoit. Despina Kasekas was very dedicated to her fiancé, Jason, and to her family, and eagerly awaited the birth of her and Jason's baby. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Her life was cut short; there were so many things she had planned for her family. In our hearts, she will live forever. All of us can't wait to see her in heaven. Save us a spot, Despina. Till then, we'll miss you. Our family was small, but we had a world's worth of happiness.
