Lillian M. Hine

Lillian M. Hine, 81, of 63 Bailey Road died Monday morning at home. Born in Pittsfield on May 21, 1920, daughter of Lester and Harriet Main Sime, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School and was a resident of Lanesboro since 1929. She was employed as a food preparer in the Lanesboro schools. She retired from the Mount Greylock Regional High School in 1977 after working there for five years. During World War II, she was employed at GE and later at the former Eaton Paper Co. She leaves her husband, Clinton E. Hine, whom she married May 4, 1946, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lanesboro; a son, the Rev. David C. Hine of East Chester, Nova Scotia; two sisters, Ruth Barber of Cherryplain, N.Y., and Elizabeth Sime of Pittsfield; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9, at 11 at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with her son, the Rev. David C. Hine, officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Lanesboro. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Friday, June 8, from 5 to 7 at the Dwyer Funeral Home. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
