Juanita A. Parker

Juanita A. Parker, 64, of Clarendon Hills, Ill., died Monday at home, following a courageous 12 year battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of the wife of Rev. Arthur C. Parker, former rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. A native of New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Howard and Georgianna Felch. She had a master of education degree, specializing in reading. She taught school for 33 years, most of that time at Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon, Vt. While at Otter Valley, she developed a Learning Lab which helped students who did not qualify for other helping programs, and spent countless hours over the years working individually with students who "fell through the cracks." She was also the director of the GED program there. She enjoyed traveling, spending time each summer exploring different parts of the United States, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland with her family and chaperoning church and school youth group trips. Besides her husband of 40 years, she leaves a son, Stacy Parker of Gilford, N.H.; three brothers, Howard Felch of Kensington, N.H., and Charles Felch and Edward Felch, both of Salisbury, and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Requiem Holy Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 29, at 10 in The Church of the Holy Nativity, Clarendon Hills, Illinois, where Rev. Parker is now rector. Memorial donations may be made to The Church of the Holy Nativity, 275 South Richmond Ave., Clarendon Hills, IL 60514 or to St. Thomas Hospice, 8230 South Madison St., Burr Ridge, IL 60527. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Kimberly, and two grandchildren, Drake and Olivia Parker. She enjoyed loving and doting on her grandchildren and family.
