Nicolette M. Zorzin

Nicolette M. Zorzin, 90, of 295 Prospect St. died Thursday at Kimball Farms Nursing Care in Lenox, where she had been a patient for five days. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 27, 1915, daughter of Joseph and Antoinette DiDomenicantonio Zaccarini, she was a 1934 graduate iof Pittsfield High School. She also graduated in 1937 from the former St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. A registered nurse, Mrs. Zorzin was employed by Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home. Before her marriage, she did private-duty nursing. She also worked at the former Meadow Place in Lenox. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She leaves a son, Joseph J. Zorzin of Peru; a daughter, Janice M. DiTomasso of Pittsfield; a sister, Helen Galvagni of Pittsfield, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Nicolette Zorzin, who died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, will be Monday at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 2 to 5. She also leaves three grandchildren, with whom she spent a great deal of time: Karen, David and John DiTomasso; her son-in-law, Remo, and several nieces and nephews, whom she considered very special. She was predeceased by her brother, Ernest, and her sister Alice DiGrigoli. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and loved animals. She enjoyed telling her life stories to her family, from her experiences in her nursing career, and especially of the days when she went to New York City as a young woman, to see the Big Bands with her sisters.
