Lillian R. Ritcher, 65
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Lillian Rita Ritcher, 65, of 35 Jordan Ave. died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at North Adams Regional Hospital after a 10-year battle with cancer.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 28, 1936, a daughter of Edwin Elijah and Pearl Elizabeth Conroy-Roach Moon, she attended schools in North Adams.
Ms. Ritcher was employed as a nursing aide at the former Adams Rest Home in Williamstown, now Williamstown Commons, retiring in 1985. She had first worked at the former Richardson Rest Home in North Adams for several years, then was employed as surgical nursing aide at North Adams Regional Hospital.
She leaves her longtime companion of 24 years, Bruce A. Phillips; two daughters, Lillian R. Goodermote of North Adams and Carol M. Bassette of Amherst, Va.; three sons, Calvin L. Ritcher Jr. and Dana T. Ritcher, both of North Adams, and Alex E. Ritcher of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Frances Morris of North Adams and Jean Roberts of Davenport, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Trevor Goodermote, and her sister Mary Moon, in infancy.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Ms. Ritcher will take place Thursday morning at 1l at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will take in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams,at a later date.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Memorial Donations are suggested in her memory through the funeral home.
