Mary C. Mills

Mary Cornelia Mills, 103, of Kimball Farms, Walker Street, died Monday at home. Born in Sandy Hill, N.Y., now known as Hudson Falls, on March 10, 1898, daughter of Clifford W. Higley Sr. and Alice Hanna McCarty Higley, she graduated from Hudson Falls High School. She also graduated from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley in 1921. She had resided in South Hadley until 1992. She was a member of the Congregationalist Church in South Hadley and enjoyed reading, gardening and playing golf. Her husband, John Henry Brown Mills, whom she married in June 1938, in South Hadley, died in 1958. She leaves a niece, Barbara Higley Tall of Lower Gwynedd, Pa., and two nephews, Richard G. Higley of Chester, Vt., and John Higley of Sutton.
