Ruth M. Masoero

Ruth Mary Masoero, 77, formerly of 85 Boylston St., died Wednesday evening at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided for 3 1/2 years. Born in Albany, N.Y., on Jan. 3, 1924, daughter of Harold J. and Caroline Parker Minkler, she attended schools there and graduated from Albany Central High School. Mrs. Masoero was employed by Merriam Graves as a secretary for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She also worked as a secretary to the registrar at Berkshire Community College at one time. She was a former communicant of St. Teresa's Church and a former member of its Rosary Society. Her first husband, Stanley Juranics, died in 1977. She leaves three daughters, Carol A. Mazza and Susan E. Barber, both of Pittsfield, and Linda J. Dondi of Dalton; a sister, Geraldine Scher of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Leonard Minkler of Woodbridge, N.J.; six grandsons, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, today, at 11 a.m. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Charles Young officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
