Viola Mary (Capella) Richardello

Viola Mary (Capella) Richardello, 87, formerly of 186 Shadowland Cove, Cheshire, MA died Thursday June 14, 2001 at the North Adams Commons, 175 Franklin Street North Adams, MA. She had resided there since January 1996. She was born in North Adams, MA on September 20, 1913. A daughter of the l a t e Louis Capella and Mary (Girardi) Capella. She was educated in North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams with the class of 1931. In her younger years, she was employed with the former Candyland Restaurant on Main Street North Adams and following her marriage, she assisted her husband in the operation of the former Richardello's Market on Columbia Street, Adams, MA. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church of North Adams. Her husband was Horace Michael Richardella whom she married on October 12, 1939 in St. Anthony of Padua Church North Adams, MA, and he died on May 22 , 1997. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Carol Meyer of Windsor, Connecticut and five grandchildren Todd Richardello of Coventry, Conn , Taryn Richardello of East Hartford, Conn, Erick P. Meyer of Windsor, Conn, Robert M. Meyer of Ashley Falls, MA and John Meyer of East Windsor, Conn and seven greatgrandchildren and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A son Robert Richardello died September 1, 1996. Also two sisters predeceased her including Norma Capella in 1928 and Helen Capella Colo on January 8, 1996. Funeral services will take place Monday June 18, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals CENTRAL CHAPELS 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 2:30 P.M at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 70 Marshall St., North Adams. The Rev William Cyr, Pastor of St. Patrick and St. Raphael Church of Williamstown, MA will officiate. Burial will take place in the family plot at Southview Cemetery North Adams. Calling hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St North Adams J u n e 16, 2001 are Monday, 1:OO P.M. until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are suggested for the St. Anthony Building Fund through the funeral home.
