Natalie J. Bierwith

Natalie J. Bierwith, 99, of 600 East New Lenox Road died Sunday at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Stratford, Conn., on Oct. 11, 1901, daughter of John and Clara Goodwing Wells, she was a graduate of Stratford High School and moved to Pittsfield in 1924. A homemaker, Mrs. Bierwith was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Collina chapter. Her husband, Alex Andrew Bierwith, whom she married in 1924, died in 1976. She leaves a son, Robert S. Bierwith, with whom she resided; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. At Mrs. Natalie Wells Bierwith's request, there will be a private funeral at the convenience of the family. There also will be no calling hours and, following cremation, burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. The Rev. David J. DeSmith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund. WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA, is in charge of arrangements.
