Eileen M. Forrest

Eileen M. Forrest, 81, of 80 Windsor Ave. died Monday at home. Born in Pittsfield on May 26, 1920, daughter of Patrick E. and Mary Hughes Callaghan, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also graduated from the former Berkshire Business College. She was employed as a secretary by General Electric Co. during World War II. She was later employed by the Pittsfield School Department as a secretary at Hibbard School and retired from Allendale School in 1987 after 22 years of service in the School Department. Mrs. Forrest was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She leaves her husband, John E. Forrest, whom she married June 30, 1945, in St. Mary's Church; two sons, John P. Forrest and David M. Forrest, both of Pittsfield; a daughter, Judith E. Concannon of Braintree; two brothers, John E. Callaghan and George P. Callaghan, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Elizabeth A. Bova of Vienna, Va., and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be tomorrow, Thursday, June 21, at 9:15 from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, administrator. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Wednesday, June 20, at Dwyer Funeral Home from 4 to 7. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the CYC in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home. Mrs. Forrest was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret A. Saunders and Jane C. Godfrey.
