Joan L. Obremski

Joan L. Obremski, 44, of Amesbury, formerly of Hinsdale, died Saturday at Salem Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born in Hinsdale on Oct. 1, 1956, she was the daughter of Georgette Donaldson LeBeau and the late Sterling LeBeau. She had resided in Salem before moving to Amesbury 12 years ago. Mrs. Obremski was a former Peace Corps volunteer in the former Zaire. She was employed by the Ransom Kennels in Salisbury. Mrs. Obremski enjoyed animals, horseback riding and gardening. Besides her mother of Hinsdale, she leaves her husband, Mark P. Obremski, and two sisters, Jackie Matthews of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Jennifer LeBeau of Pelham. A memorial service will be held today at Central Congregational Church, 14 Titcomb St., Newburyport, at 2 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements by SIMPLICITY BURIAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 287 High St., Newburyport.
