Nicholas Dorochin

Nicholas Dorochin, 81, of Kimball Farms Retirement Community, 235 Walker St., died Wednesday afternoon at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center. Born in Hartford, Conn., on Oct. 11, 1919, son of Alexander and Vera Osacha Dorochin, he was a 1937 graduate of Hartford Public School and a 1949 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he received his bachelor of arts degree. He resided in Bristol, Conn., for more than 30 years and moved to Lenox in December 1989. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Dorochin was a teacher at Farmington (Conn.) High School for 23 years, retiring in 1981. His wife, the former Anne H. Arzolitis, whom he married Feb. 24, 1951, died Jan. 16, 1989. He leaves two daughters, Cindy Shuler of Cromwell, Conn., and Cathy Lindbeck of Littleton; a brother, Michael Dorochin of Southington, Conn.; a sister, Olga Brown of Southington, and three grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Britain, Conn., at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
