Valida F. Kleiner

Valida Florence Kleiner, 89, of 5 Grant St. died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she had been admitted Sunday. Born in North Adams on Jan. 12, 1912, daughter of Arthur and Mary Louise LaCombe Barcomb, she attended the former St. Joseph's Elementary School. She had resided in Adams since 1941. Mrs. Kleiner was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for more than 30 years, retiring 25 years ago. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. She leaves her husband, Max E. Kleiner, whom she married Aug. 30, 1941, and a sister, Rita Paoletti of Drury. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County through the funeral home. She was predeceased by four brothers, Ledor, Joseph, Ernest and Edward Barcomb, and four sisters, Eva Ruoto, Margaret Martin, Elizabeth Durocher and Pauline Barcomb.
