Harriet F. Dymek

Harriet F. Marshall Dymek, 86, formerly of Riverwest Apartments, died Friday morning at the Center for Optimum Care-Pittsfield. Born in North Adams on Oct. 24, 1914, daughter of John B. and Mildred Hopkins Davis, she graduated from Drury High School. She moved to Pittsfield as a young woman. Mrs. Dymek was employed as a cook at several area restaurants. She attended First United Methodist Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her first husband, Arthur O. Marshall, died in 1968. Her husband, Walter Dymek, died in 1983. She leaves three sons, Neil O. Marshall and Michael J. Marshall, both of Pittsfield, and Kenneth Marshall of Springfield; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be conducted today at Pittsfield Cemetery by the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor of First United Methodist Church. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, which is in charge of arrangements.
