Carol A. Supinski

Carol A. Supinski, 64, of South Hadley died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center. She was the mother of Cheryl A. Beattie of Lenox. Born in Holyoke on April 21, 1937, daughter of Frank Powers and Sylvia Potter Powers Dwoyakowski, she graduated from South Hadley High School in 1955. She was employed by Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley for 26 years, working in the controller's and alumnae offices. Previously, she had worked at Odyssey Book Shop in South Hadley and at Sears in Holyoke. Mrs. Supinski was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church in South Hadley, a member of the South Hadley Chorale and a former member of the Granby Community Chorus. Her husband, Robert F. Supinski, died in 1985. Besides her daughter, she leaves another daughter, Deborah S. Labonte of Chicopee; a son, Thomas R. Supinski of Chicopee; a sister, Judith Beyer of South Hadley, and six grandsons. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 from RYDER FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb St., followed by a service in Abbey Chapel of Mount Holyoke College with burial in Village Cemetery, all in South Hadley. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
